I received a message stating that my computer/device needs to be repaired.
Error code: 0xc0000242. Failed to load the operating system because NLS data is missing. You need to use recovery tools. I have never protected my data with a recovery date and therefore cannot revert to an earlier date for the computer. What should I do?

Normally, restore points are created automatically.

So you should have some, right?

Hello, Microsoft systematically deletes restore points with each semi-annual update. If you have points dating back 5 years, your version of W10 is completely outdated. Create a live CD to back up all your personal files and reinstall W10 with the latest version.
