Good evening.
I see that the question was already asked a few years ago but no solution was given. So I am asking the question again. For a few months, on a professional laptop, the Google Chrome icon no longer appeared. Instead of the tricolor disk, I had the location but empty. However, when I clicked on it, Chrome launched normally. Then the same thing happened on a professional desktop PC, and the same issue occurred on my personal PC. The icon was empty but active.

I should specify that this is for Windows 10, in the start menu, on the home page (Right part). In the start menu, left column, it is there (See below).

Does anyone have an explanation? It can't be due to 3 different PCs; it must definitely be Windows 10 that is to blame. I would like to understand and restore the appearance if possible.

Configuration: Windows 10 version 2004 / Firefox 83.0

Hello,

Following a Chrome update or another software update, this can happen.
Unpin the tile on the homepage and then pin it back.

Let me know if this resolves the issue.

Good evening.
I did it just before taking the attached screenshot, so no changes on my personal PC.

I have the same problem as you; after placing the Google Chrome shortcut in the tiles, it is enough to restart explorer.exe (or the PC) and the icon will appear. I have no explanation for this problem, try to check directly with Chrome support: https://support.google.com/chrome/?hl=en.

Good evening.
No changes. I looked at the Google help, it’s not easy to find a solution.

Here is a response from Chrome's help that worked on my PCs. It dates back to 11/22, not old.
