Hello, I recently met someone on Lovoo, yes it works even without paying, good point for them... Everything was going well for 48 hours... With even a phone contact... No stress, no African accent if you know what I mean... And then the drama... We were supposed to call each other and then nothing. The next day she tells me she was at the emergency room for her son... okay, that happens... We’ll call tonight so you can give me some news... and here we go again... this time he’s intubated.. I get annoyed, start asking questions, send her messages and then miracle, she replies... But aren’t you always at the hospital? Well apparently she had a bit of time... especially to log on to Lovoo... anyway we continue... the next day... hey, you’re already back? The kid isn’t intubated? She calls me from the car saying she has a lot of appointments... okay no big deal, I’m working anyway, we’ll call tonight.. that evening a quick text, I have something to tell you... I’m short on money.. there it is guys, you see the scam coming... So right away I tell her that I can’t help her and that I find it suspicious... and here comes the best part... she calls me once, I tell her I don’t want to talk to her, a second time where she leaves me a message crying, a third time where I finally respond and she tells me she never asked me for money and that she’ll manage... and since then, silence... it's me who messed up, she gave me plenty of chances and I let them slip away... anyway.. the question is am I paranoid or is this a scam that the young lady couldn’t manage properly? Because this is quite something... there was even an exchange of phone numbers after all... I await your feedback... and sorry if it’s long to read...

Hello
It's good that you're being cautious, but as long as she hasn't explicitly asked you for money, there's a chance that this isn't a scam attempt...
As for your attitude regarding the time she takes to respond, yes, that's another matter... just because you've chatted a few times doesn't mean she has to account for herself and jump on her phone every time you send her a message.
I think you have some personal work to do if you expect to close deals with your upcoming encounters...

Thank you for your reply. It's clear that this time it's screwed up.. the chain of events has taken its toll on this relationship.. I will never know the truth unfortunately....but yes I know I need to be patient. It's not that which put me on the defensive... more the succession of bad luck every day... so yes it can happen but it's a lot in 3 days.. but anyway let's not talk about it anymore I just received a message saying goodbye.. so either I've lost a great opportunity or I haven't lost any money... we'll never know... but what is certain is that I will continue to remain wary...
Request a video call, it will be sorted out in 2 minutes. Refusal equals scam.
A good app "Reverse image search" downloaded from the play store, then you choose the photo in question and you put it in there, the app will do a complete search of the internet and if this photo or these photos have been stolen, you will see who they belong to directly... one last thing, it's not just African scammers who scam... French people do it very well too...! A call means nothing today except if it’s a video call, and when you have your kids in intensive care (intubated), you don't think about going on a dating site...
Don't you think? Be careful with free sites, 90% are scams...
