Hello
My son just got a kidicom.advance phone/tablet for Christmas.
The tablet recognizes the internet network and is connected, but then when it comes to registering his account, I encounter the following error.
Error: Unable to load the URL. Error-2A
Thank you for helping me solve the problem if someone knows how!

After days of testing, here’s how I did it and everything works.
As already described above, you must absolutely make the first connection in sharing mode with a smartphone for registration.
Then you need to enter your Freebox SSID and your password.
IPV4: Static
IPV4 Address: 192.168.1.128
Gateway: 192.168.1.254
Prefix length: 24
DNS1: erase and rewrite 8.8.8.8
DNS2: erase and rewrite 8.8.4.4
Then save.

Hello, for it to work with your Freebox:
- connect the Kidicom to the Freebox (internet access does not work)
- in the Wi-Fi settings, press for a few seconds on your connected Free network and "modify the network" will appear
- select it
- set the IPv4 settings to static
address: IPv4: 192.168.0.128
gateway: 193.168.0.254
don't touch the rest
it should work...
good luck

Hello,
If the servers are currently down.... the various solutions mentioned in the topic indeed must not be working....
The usefulness of this kind of grouped topic being.... besides offering suggestions... to also indicate when "things return to normal" ... so that everyone concerned can be informed....
So, we just have to wait............

Hello, I have the same issue as all of you. I called VTech and the lady told me that Free doesn't work with it; you have to share the connection via your phone. But now KidiConnect isn't working all of a sudden, it's impossible to use even though it's connected to the network since the internet browser works.
Hello, as Anthony said

Yes, 193 is certainly a printing error, as it doesn't exist in a local network, it is always 192.168.xxx.yyy
For those who are not with Free, the gateway address depends on the Internet service provider, it's the gateway number of the BOX... it is often indicated in the contract notice...
-- Many are 192.168.1.1 (including Orange)
On a PC
-- start (or Windows key) + R type cmd OK then in the black window
in the section "IPv4 Address" there is a line "Default Gateway" followed by a series of 3 blocks of numbers... That's your gateway address, corresponding to your BOX..

Hello everyone,
We have the same issue and we are also with Free.
We were able to find a solution by creating a guest Wi-Fi mode on our Freebox Revolution account in the Mafreebox.freebox.fr space.
Have a good day everyone!

My son received the same gift and we also have the same error message! I'm going to the store first thing tomorrow for an exchange because it's not very reassuring to have error messages already when it's new.
Hello, I am in the same situation as you, but I found this without an answer for my part https://www.vtech-jouets.com/assistance?question=kidicom-connexion-wifi-erreur-2a-n0301
Hello everyone, I found out how to share my daughter's Kidicom, you need to share your connection via smartphone, type in the search bar: How to share wifi via smartphone, I hope it works for you like it did for me.
It's not normal to have to go through a smartphone connection... plus, it uses data...
-- Let's just say once to create the account... but afterwards, it should work with the home Wi-Fi, purely and simply...
Personally, I recommend the following values with Free:
Gateway: 193.168.0.254
DNS1: 208.67.222.222
DNS2: 208.67.220.220 if there is no DNS2... just enter DNS1
Validate and restart the device.... and try

Hello,
--> solution: vtech kidicom max
To create your children's accounts, do not use the operators' Wi-Fi
share your Wi-Fi connection from your smartphone (phone).
then connect via this Wi-Fi connection and create your child's account.
--> update the device (wait a few minutes)
Good luck and happy holidays and end of the year 2020.

Hello, I was going crazy when I found a solution on vtech that worked right away.
KidiCom: Wifi connection - error 2A or N0301
Have you set up your WIFI but Kidicom Max shows you either "Error-2A" or "Error N0301" when you try to open the browser? These are errors specifically related to the Free operator.
Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
1/ Open parental controls and go to WIFI
2/ Press the gear icon
3/ Select the previously saved wifi network and press "remove"
4/ From the three dots at the top right, select "Add a network"
5/ Set up your wifi network by following the instructions
Your Wifi network is now activated, you can register your tablet or browse the internet!
If the above steps did not resolve the problem.
1. Check the WIFI restrictions (Freebox connect application: WIFI tab / WIFI Restrictions): disable the WIFI restrictions or specifically allow access to KidiCom Max
2. Repeat steps 1 to 5 performed earlier. At step 5, enter your IPV4 address in the "Gateway" field of the advanced options. You will find this number in your Freebox connect application: Home / Your equipment / Other information: / IPV4 address.

Hello, I managed to connect, it worked for 2 days but since about a week, there’s a server problem in maintenance. Isn’t that a long time for maintenance? Does anyone else have the same problem? I think I’ll contact VTECH on Monday…
Hello, I had the same message.
I am also with FREE, and thanks to the messages below, I found the solution to connect to the WIFI of my SFR mobile phone and it worked, I was able to resolve the situation!
Merry Christmas

Hello, to no longer have the error code, you should not use the Wi-Fi from the home box but connect to the mobile phone's Wi-Fi, and that worked for me.
Hi everyone. Well, I got frustrated like everyone else and then I did a bit of searching. In my case, it is indeed a DNS issue. For some unknown reason, Free's DNS is not working as expected.
So, as has been posted by others in the forum, simply manually enter the Wi-Fi connection settings for the Kidicom.
This should also work for those who use their smartphone's hotspot with Free.
The primary (8.8.8.8) and secondary (8.8.4.4) Google DNS work perfectly as indicated in the VTECH procedure (link already posted in the forum).
If that doesn't work for you, make sure that your Freebox's addressing plan is the default one (if you've modified it, the IP address and gateway must match).

Hello, I contacted Free directly yesterday. Out of my 2 Kidicoms, only one can connect to Wi-Fi, not the other. After 40 minutes on the phone... I tried the procedure mentioned on the Vtech website but it was impossible. I also contacted Vtech, who apparently is trying to find a solution with Free.
I have the tablet and it connected without any problem.

For those who have a revolutionary fbx. Go through the KidiCom activation via WPS.
The option is activated in the settings of your personal space. Or via the freebox app. Go to settings then Wi-Fi, you will find WPS in this section.

perseverance pays off. Happy New Year!
It works with tethering, but where do you enter the information for the box?
Have a good evening
