Hello  My son just got a kidicom.advance phone/tablet for Christmas. The tablet recognizes the internet network and is connected, but then when it comes to registering his account, I encounter the following error. Error: Unable to load the URL. After days of testing, here’s how I did it and everything works. As already described above, you must absolutely make the first connection in sharing mode with a smartphone for registration. Then you need to enter your Freebox SSID and your password. IPV4: Static IPV4 Address: 192.168.1.128 Gateway: 192.168.1.254 Prefix length: 24 DNS1: erase and rewrite 8.8.8.8 DNS2: erase and rewrite 8.8.4.4 Then save.

Hello, I’m in the same situation as you. Sosh works perfectly at grandma's but at home with Free, it doesn't work. It's scandalous! I’ve tried the different procedures and I don’t even have the option to set IPV4 since there’s none registered! Anyway, it’s a disappointment for my daughter.

Hello,  --> solution: vtech kidicom max  To create your children's accounts, do not use the operators' Wi-Fi  share your Wi-Fi connection from your smartphone (phone).  then connect via this Wi-Fi connection and create your child's account.  --> update the device (wait a few minutes)  Good luck and happy holidays and end of the year 2020.

Hi everyone. Well, I got frustrated like everyone else and then I did a bit of searching. In my case, it is indeed a DNS issue. For some unknown reason, Free's DNS is not working as expected. So, as has been posted by others in the forum, simply manually enter the Wi-Fi connection settings for the Kidicom. This should also work for those who use their smartphone's hotspot with Free. The primary (8.8.8.8) and secondary (8.8.4.4) Google DNS work perfectly as indicated in the VTECH procedure (link already posted in the forum).  If that doesn't work for you, make sure that your Freebox's addressing plan is the default one (if you've modified it, the IP address and gateway must match).

Hello, for it to work with your Freebox: - connect the Kidicom to the Freebox (internet access does not work) - in the Wi-Fi settings, press for a few seconds on your connected Free network and "modify the network" will appear - select it - set the IPv4 settings to static address: IPv4: 192.168.0.128 gateway: 193.168.0.254 don't touch the rest it should work... good luck

Good evening.  My daughter just got the Kidicom Max on Thursday. I was able to connect it Thursday evening, and now today, I returned home, connected it to the Wi-Fi, and I have the same error code as you. It's impossible to do anything, and my daughter is disappointed.  If anyone has a solution.

For those who have a revolutionary fbx. Go through the KidiCom activation via WPS. The option is activated in the settings of your personal space. Or via the freebox app. Go to settings then Wi-Fi, you will find WPS in this section.

Hello, I was going crazy when I found a solution on vtech that worked right away. KidiCom: Wifi connection - error 2A or N0301 Have you set up your WIFI but Kidicom Max shows you either "Error-2A" or "Error N0301" when you try to open the browser? These are errors specifically related to the Free operator.  Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.  1/ Open parental controls and go to WIFI   2/ Press the gear icon   3/ Select the previously saved wifi network and press "remove"   4/ From the three dots at the top right, select "Add a network"   5/ Set up your wifi network by following the instructions    Your Wifi network is now activated, you can register your tablet or browse the internet!  If the above steps did not resolve the problem.  1. Check the WIFI restrictions (Freebox connect application: WIFI tab / WIFI Restrictions): disable the WIFI restrictions or specifically allow access to KidiCom Max  2. Repeat steps 1 to 5 performed earlier. At step 5, enter your IPV4 address in the "Gateway" field of the advanced options. You will find this number in your Freebox connect application: Home / Your equipment / Other information: / IPV4 address.

Hello,  I’m here to try to help those who are struggling.  The VTech tutorial ( https://www.vtech-jouets.com/assistance?question=kidicom-connexion-wifi-erreur-2a-n0301 ) worked for me BUT you need to be careful because the IP address written transparently in the Kidicom is incorrect. So do not copy it as indicated. Instead, use 192.168.1.20 and 192.168.1.254 as the gateway.

Hello, I also bought the Kidicom Max for my daughter, and just like everyone else.  I can’t connect to the wifi network; the ERROR code 2-A appears.  I contacted Vtech customer service, who confirmed that they identified a connectivity issue between the network and FREEBOX, and only with that internet provider. Apparently, the technicians are working to resolve the problem. The issue is that they were unable to tell me when it will work again! So this could go on for a while.. I find it outrageous given the price of the device... anyway, my daughter was very disappointed not to be able to enjoy it.  But since yesterday, I was able to use the “tethering” feature via my phone, and it works!  (thanks to the person who shared the tip)

Hello, to all those who are having trouble connecting the Kidicom to the Freebox despite the various solutions explained: after 2 days of hassle with my daughter's device and sharing my phone's connection with her, I found a solution! I had to download the Freebox Connect app on my phone, and then from this app, I modified the connection restrictions for the devices in the house, specifically allowing my daughter's Android Vettech! Since then, it works! She is connected to the home Wi-Fi!!!

Phew, I did it!!  I downloaded the FREE CONNECT app (it's mentioned in the V TECH resolution): Everything was fine, no device restrictions, I saw my kidicom "connected" even though it wasn't working. When I checked the kidicom info on the app, I only had an IPv6 address and no IPv4.  I believe I went to the "network" tab at the bottom, then "wifi diagnostic" The app suggested that I upgrade two security elements (WAP key and another thing) (I apologize for the lack of precision; I'm writing this from what I remember): I accepted the updates for the FREE app.  Then in the kidicom info: I had an IPv4 address!!!!! and it worked to set up the wifi network on the kidicom with this IPv4 address (it seems that each device connected to the Freebox wifi has its own IPv4)  If this can help someone ;-)

Yes, but it’s not livable with a smartphone hotspot; for it to be operational, it needs to work with the box's Wi-Fi...  So, an unavailable server, yes, that happens especially during peak times, but it should be back up in less than 24 hours...  And this so-called phone should be able to connect to the Wi-Fi for other entertainment, outside of Kidicom. A website for kids, for example, would already be an improvement in connectivity.

It's normal that it's not working. Vtech was hacked in November, so we have to wait until mid-January for everything to work properly. As compensation, we will have free apps available for download. My daughter also got a Kidicom for Christmas.

Hello,  I had the same problem with my daughter's KidiCom Max: no internet access at home (Free operator) but no issues at other people's homes.
