Hello, I bought the BROTHER DCP L3550CDW printer scanner a year ago. I moved and bought a new ADDITIONAL PC last month. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks ago:
I can print from my old and new PC, but I can no longer scan:
I removed and reinstalled the drivers
I reset the printer
I tried both wifi and USB connections, but the results are the same:

but still nothing: sometimes the scan starts for the first page, then it freezes. Sometimes it doesn't start at all. Other times, it scans the document, but sends nothing to my PC.
I really need your help because this is the basis of my work, I don't know how to justify myself to my clients anymore; it's really a huge hassle!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
Emilie

    Hello,

Why the WiFi..? Are you walking around with your printer..?? The problem could very well come from the WiFi... Too far away or too much concrete separates you from the router and the WiFi signal isn’t getting through... Or there are too many people around you connected to the same WiFi... That’s a strong possibility.

This printer also has an RJ45 wired connection, you could try that connection, at least to eliminate doubt, by connecting an RJ45 cable between your printer and the back of your router... it can go up to 100m without a problem...

You need to turn it off, unplug it, install the new one, and restart the PC and printer

That’s the first check that needs to be done before talking about anything else..

    Hello,
thank you for your response and your help.

With Wi-Fi, well yes, the drivers allowed the printer to be remote from the PC, and until now, that has never been an issue.

For the RJ45 cable, I connected it from the printer to the PC. The printer has recognized the connection as it offers to connect via Wi-Fi or "USB" (by the way, it only displays when I plugged in the RJ45 cable), but it doesn't respond when I scan.

    Thank you for your help.

So, the cable is from the printer to the BOX, not to the PC... because it works over the network, on your network, it's not the same thing.

Are you scanning from the PC or from the printer..?

With your move, you've probably changed your internet provider... and/or the BOX and the IP numbers are not the same anymore, not to mention other things... explain a bit more..
