Epson XP-3205 printer scanner not working.

Good evening,
I bought an Epson XP-3205 printer, for which I installed the drivers and firmware; I am using only a USB cable connected to the PC.
Printing works perfectly, but when I try to scan using the printer's LCD panel, I receive the following error message: "communication error check connection."
When I use, for example, the Easy Photo Scan software, I also get an error message (see below).

Download and install --> Revo Uninstaller
Run it as administrator
Uninstall all products of the Epson printer
Follow the tutorial closely to completely uninstall including residual folders and keys.
For the residue scan, check --> advanced mode
Restart the PC.
Download this driver --> XP-3205
Disconnect the USB cable from the PC
Turn on the printer
Launch the driver setup
Connect the cable to the PC as soon as prompted.
Afterwards, install the driver Epson Scan 2
Hello,
There are indeed two scanning software installed where Epson Scan 2 works and should suffice, hence the idea of possibly uninstalling the other version.
I suggested, formally I don't know, that certain functions from the printer's LCD panel might only be available via Wifi.
However, I don't quite understand the context; if the printer is connected via USB, it is close to the computer and there is no need to run around to place a document, what is the point of using the LCD panel in these conditions?
Hello,
What version of Windows (the older Epson Scan version with Windows 11 is not guaranteed)?
Does Epson Scan itself work from the PC outside of Easy Photo Scan?
Do the features of the first and the LCD panel require a Wifi connection, to be tested?
Good evening,
Thank you for your help (Brucine and Kaneeagle).
I have Windows 10 64-bit. When I consulted the Epson page to download the drivers, the website automatically detected what operating system I had.
On the PC, Easy Photo Scan Epson doesn't work; see the screenshot in my previous message, but Epson Scan 2 works without any problems; reinstalling the Epson Scan 2 drivers had no effect.
Since I am using a USB cable, I tried to see on the LCD panel if there was a USB option in "Settings," but that is not the case; it only mentions WIFI.
However, I discovered in the "Scan to Computer" section (which interests me) that the "USB Connection" element is highlighted in red. I tried to "play" with the directional buttons to select it and/or click "OK" and/or the "Diamond" symbol to start the scan, but each time I get the error message "Invalid" (see below)
Good evening,
Thank you for your help (Brucine and Kaneeagle), in the meantime, I contacted Epson support.
Procedure to follow:
- The PC and the printer must be turned on;
- Download and install a file for a "clean" installation through the official link (here: Epson_XP-3200_Series_EA_50_Web) which, by the way, is not listed on the printer page for the XP-3205;
- Turn off the printer, then restart the PC.
This helped me resolve my issue, and I think it can help others as well.
For your information, I contacted Epson via chat using Mozilla, which I do not recommend, as it bugs; the bot tells me it is transferring me to an agent, but nothing happens. I tried it on Edge and within 10 seconds I was chatting with an agent.
Thanks again.

Content for you.
Here is the link to the driver --> https://support.epson.net/setupnavi/?LG2=FR&OSC=WS&PINF=menu&MKN=XP-3200
Click on --> Installation
Go to step --> 2. Connect
Click on --> Download
Downloading the driver --> Epson_XP-3200_Series_EA_50_Web.exe

Edit: I'm surprised that it didn't work with a clean uninstall using Revo-Uninstaller and a reinstall of the printer with the proposed driver.
Good evening.
