Hello,

I would like to read db.crypt files and I can't find any software to convert them. I'm on Windows 7.
I don't have WhatsApp and I've changed my phone number.

Can you please help me? I'm really struggling.

Thank you in advance!

Thank you, but I have already seen this page and it doesn't work. I retrieved my files from my computer but I can't open them.

These are db.crypt files, and when trying to open them, they do not appear in this software.

Rename one of the files like this: msgstore.db

Thank you for your response barnabe0057, I renamed the file, but when I launch it, it says "could not decrypt."
    It's a real puzzle.
I had recovered my old WhatsApp chats and transferred them via Gmail.
Now, I want to open them and it's impossible.

      What is the key???

Sorry, I don't speak English very well, so it's tough to decipher!

Actually, I had downloaded my backup files on my old phone and sent them by email to Gmail.

Your files are encrypted with a key (a code if you prefer); if you don't have this key, your files will remain unreadable.
Without the key, there's no point in continuing; it's a waste of time.

It's very good, but that's only half the way; without the old phone, there's no way to restore the backup or decrypt the key.
