Hello everyone,
I recently retrieved my Skype conversation history (saved on the hard drive of my old computer and now on a USB stick). They are located - if I understood correctly - in the main.db folder; which means it's a database. I am looking for reliable software to access this database and recover my conversations.
I tried opening it in WordPad, but it was unsuccessful (the folder is unreadable, filled with "qu'un très court instant" and "quot" everywhere).
What software and/or manipulations can I do to successfully open this folder in a readable way?
I am using Windows 10 (ASUS).
Thank you in advance!
Have a nice day.

At this point, download SQLite Browser here https://sqlitebrowser.org/
Install it, it will allow you to open your database file.
Best regards.

The database cannot be opened. Reason: database disk image is malformed.
I suppose this is abnormal, but I don't know how to fix it.
Thank you very much (for your patience and your help)!
Best regards.
However, the software remains a bit ... a huge mountain, for a novice like me. I opened it in read-only mode, and I have various categories, subcategories, etc. What exact manipulations should I make, and with which files?
Thanks again!
This utility is just a database viewer. It does not allow for modification.
There should normally be a table with all the Skype messages in it. Since I do not use Skype, I cannot perform the test.
Best regards.
A friend took care of it, via Python (?). The problem is therefore solved. Thank you very much for your answers!
