GPX file that opens in PDF

Hello and thank you for your reply. I did what you mentioned about restarting the computer, but it's still the same.
When I go to the settings "apps / default apps / by file type," I still have PDF.



In regedit, I no longer have UserChoice as you had asked me to delete it.

How did it open before?
With which program?

I suppose you want to see your maps. Use Google Maps.
It's not immediate!

In Google Maps, click on the three bars at the top left (Menu) and choose Your addresses.
Then click on Maps.
At the bottom of the window, click on Create a map.
In the new window, click on Import.
Then drag your .gpx file into the central area.
The map will display immediately.

Unfortunately, there are none of the data that the GPS can calculate (distance traveled, average).

Otherwise, use a site like https://www.calculitineraires.fr/importer-gpx.php
You will at least have the distance traveled!

But that’s not what I’m looking for! I would like my GPS files to display like before (yellow) and not with the PDF logo as I have above.

But I don’t know what application to use to get it back to how it was before.

The problem is that there don't seem to be any applications to open .gpx files on computers. They can easily be found for smartphones.

However, I do have a solution to propose using Google Earth.
Google Earth cannot open .gpx files, but it can open .kmz files.

The solution is therefore to:
1) Download Google Earth: https://www.google.com/intl/fr_ALL/earth/versions/download-thank-you/?usagestats=1
(this is a direct download link)

2) Convert your gpx files to kmz.
There are various online converters available. This one does a good job: https://www.gpsvisualizer.com/?ref=ge
Select your file, then the output format (Google Earth) and click on Map it.
Click on the output file to download it.

Note: kmz is an archive that contains a kml file (you don’t need to decompress the archive). Google Earth works fine with kmz.
In Google Earth, the tracks appear in light gray (not great). To change the color, right-click on tracks (on the left) then properties.
