Good evening
Do you know how to disable the external call waiting signal on the Gigaset A420 (3 handsets) - currently working from home, it's a nightmare: the signal rings and cuts off my conversation with my interlocutor and continues until the person on the waiting call hangs up.
Those on the waiting call do not hear a busy signal, the phone just rings into the void for them
I called my operator who confirmed that they have not activated call waiting on our line and that it needs to be managed on our phone. I have the manual but cannot find this function
Thank you in advance

Hello,
It's not someone from the other two extensions intervening while the line is occupied by an external conversation
Here's what the manual says about call waiting:
Check that the internal intrusion is not validated.
Who is your telephone operator?
It's very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it isn't there... -
If you can't solve this issue by adjusting the internal intrusion parameter as mentioned above, go to your box's telephone settings. From there, you can enable "Forward to voicemail" if you have a second call and even disable the call waiting option that beeps when you receive a second call.

Although you were told that "Call Waiting" does not exist on your line.
Here is how to remove it from your landline

There is indeed a way from the customer area, but the document does not seem complete
