Hello, I just set up my PC, but following a friend’s advice, I didn’t order a network card or a Wi-Fi dongle because it’s more convenient to use Ethernet. I powered on this PC for the first time with the HDD from my old PC, I plugged in my Ethernet cable and no Ethernet icon appears at the bottom right, my PC isn’t detecting it. I've been using powerline adapters for a few months and it has always worked. HELP please.

Hello,
probably just a driver to install for the ethernet card, it's very common.

I installed the LAN drivers for my motherboard and installed it with a USB stick on my PC, and an error message appears: The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled, please plug in the cable.
Hello,
Shut down the computer
Unplug it from the wall socket
Wait about 5 minutes
Plug it back in
Start the computer and see how it goes.

Since it's a PC you've just assembled, it would undoubtedly be useful for you to detail its composition.

I would have thought it was a compatibility issue between the motherboard and the CPU, as the Ryzn7 2700X is not listed among the compatible CPUs for this motherboard:
https://fr.msi.com/Motherboard/support/MAG-B550M-MORTAR#support-cpu
However, it works, except for the network card, which isn't even visible in the device manager. You might want to consider that you could have received a defective motherboard. In that case, you should consider an exchange.

If the problem persists:
Try a USB Wi-Fi adapter
Update Windows 10:

Run it

Arf,
a 2.5 Gbit/s card connected via powerline adapters... that's amusing.
You have to keep yourself entertained during these times.
It's kind of like a Ferrari on the Paris ring road at 6 PM.

"With powerline adapters, we're going to reach 300 Mbit/s at full speed on the downloads.
It seems like you don't really know what you're talking about. You can easily find powerline adapters with a speed of 1300 Mbits/s. So, that's higher than the speeds of the Gigabit Ethernet ports on our current PCs.
Question: since many of the latest motherboards are equipped with 2.5G Ethernet ports, shouldn't we buy them since we still don't have devices in our homes capable of reaching that speed?

these are theoretical megabits/s of paper....
actual speeds are rather in the values I indicated.... when everything is working well
2.5g switches are starting to come out and the Freebox Pop has a 2.5g port, some NAS too, but in my opinion, as long as it's not sold at the same price as gigabit, it won't bring much or anything significant.

Why did you mock him for buying a motherboard with a 2.5G Ethernet port? There's no obligation to respond. If you don't have a solution to his problem, you shouldn't write this kind of thing "Arf,

Indeed, I told you twice that it was off-topic.
I made a comment about the use of powerline adapters, which I generally advise against except for temporary installations, but you are heavily insisting on annoying me about it while you are wrong.
I only made a remark, not directed the topic towards that, rather in the direction of the drivers since post 1.

PS: "but anyway, in my opinion, as long as it is not sold at the same price as the gigabit, it won't bring anything or not much." Counter-example:
