TV without HDMI ARC with HDMI ARC soundbar

Hello,
I bought a soundbar that has a new technology, Dolby Atmos. However, to use it, I need to connect this soundbar via HDMI ARC to the TV. Unfortunately, on my TV, I have optical, coaxial, and RCA ports, but no HDMI ARC. Do you think it would be possible to connect an HDMI ARC cable from my soundbar to an adapter that would then be connected, for example, via optical to my television? This optical cable would take the signal from the TV and the box would convert it to HDMI ARC for my soundbar so that I could benefit from this audio quality??

Hi,

I see that a new confusion is arising regarding HDMI ARC...

It’s important to understand that HDMI ARC is not sound quality but a method of transporting sound, which is not the same thing at all.

ARC stands for Audio Return Channel.

For example:

A TV has an HDMI ARC port, a home theater has an HDMI ARC, if we connect these 2 HDMI ARCs, the sound from the TV channels is sent to the home theater without an additional cable like optical (digital) or JACK / RCA (analog).

The big issue is that this technology is still not fully developed as of now.

Therefore, it is always better to prefer the connection of an optical or digital coaxial cable, and if not digital, use the TV's analog headphone or audio out RCA output to the analog inputs of the receiving device.

For example, I have a Sony KDL-40BX400 TV (released in February 2010) and a Sony BDV-N7100W home theater (released in May 2013), the TV does not have HDMI ARC while the home theater has this technology, so it's impossible to transport the sound from my TV via HDMI ARC to my home theater, so I hooked up an optical cable between the devices and it works very well.

This is a connection that has proven itself for years.

So, could you give me the exact brand and model of all your devices and I will certainly provide the most appropriate solution to your issue.
