Good evening,
I have the new Canal + decoder
I am currently in Spain and I'm trying to connect to the building's wifi called here edificio
I am doing what I need to connect the decoder to the WIFI
but what happens is that the wifi network strength shows 0 on my decoder
We have a distinctive code per apartment to connect our computers to the WIFI.
So, I can't use some functions of my decoder like on-demand programs, starting programs that have already begun, etc.
There are now Super wifi boosters and wifi repeaters
Could you tell me if such a device would be suitable for my situation
And also, tell me the brand, model and recommend a store
Robert

    Hello,
Yes, it's worth trying, but have you tried moving the decoder?

    Hi,
in your case, a wifi extender probably won't help much; to be effective, it needs to be placed about halfway between the internet access point and the device to connect. You're likely going to put it next to your decoder, so it won't be very useful.
If you don’t have pixelation or freezing of the image, it means your reception speed is sufficient; you could measure it on speedtest if there's a browser included in the decoder.
I think you should look for your issue more on the internet connection side and see if Canal isn’t limiting functionality for clients abroad, as is often the case with TV channels.

There is something I don't understand, Canal + France would therefore be broadcast via ADSL in Spain?
The solution would be a satellite decoder

      hehe
the internet knows no borders, except for exceptions...
Indeed, there are no limitations with satellite, but there are no SVOD options either...

    Hello,
It's really nice of you to reply
I probably forgot to tell you that of course, I have a satellite dish oriented towards ASTRA TO RECEIVE the Canal programs
The problem is only with the functions provided by the internet such as on-demand programs and VOD, etc.
    To the question of why to move the decoder;;;;;;;;;

So, contrary to what I understood, you don't know if it is connected to the internet?
Is there a diagnostic tool for that on the thing?
      Also,
if you don't have a built-in browser, I don't see how you can connect to a public Wi-Fi protected by a password, like you do on the PC, I suppose.
