Hello,

I'm reaching out to you because I'm having a little issue with my TV. I have a Livebox 5 and a UHD TV box, but I set it up on Wi-Fi and now it's working poorly with some pixelation. I would like to switch back to Ethernet, but apparently the UHD player remains on Wi-Fi. I want to reinstall the connection between the Livebox 5 and the UHD player via Ethernet, but it doesn't work; it stays on Wi-Fi. What should I do? I've even tried resetting the player, but nothing works; it remains on Wi-Fi. How can I fix this?

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 83.0.4103.116

Maybe you haven't plugged in your cable properly?
      Otherwise,
you should have a reset button on the thing?

    arf,
actually you're right, it must be a WAN port, but it should be configurable in the box ....
    And above all,
it should have lit up when connected to your TV box.
Otherwise, it might be configured only for gigabit, but that would be surprising.

No, there is no reset button on the player
there is a reset button on the Livebox 5, but I don't want to restart the Livebox to reset the player because I'm afraid it won't work!!

Yes, an HDMI cable between UHD and video amplifier! But I don't see what that can do, no one knows? It's weird, I dealt with a technician from Orange at first, my TV box was giving me a black screen, he reset the box at first reinstallation. He told me that because of the children, they didn't leave the parameters to reset from the start, but it seems strange to me that we can't reset everything?

        Hello,
On your Livebox 5, there is indeed a reset...

...next to the USB connector!... You'll have to do it.

        For the thing,
I was talking about the TV box, not the router.

I reset my Livebox or not? I think it’s useless? It’s the player that’s at fault, isn’t it?

No, it's the TV box, it's definitely not the living box.

I'm going to try resetting the Livebox, we'll see. It doesn't cost much.

        So,
Keep doing the opposite of what you're told, you'll move backwards, it's more sporty :-(

I am getting back to you to see if you have any new insights.
My last attempts (resetting the Livebox 5 did not change anything, resetting the UHD box)
have not been fruitful; I am still at the same point. How can I connect my UHD TV box via Ethernet?

Thank you for your posts and thanks in advance for your responses!

Well, I solved the problem that was caused by the Ethernet cable being on port 4 of the Livebox 5 and the flow was not passing, no light was on. I switched to port 3 of the Livebox and oh miracle, it works!

THANK YOU for your help and care, the issue is resolved, I can now see my UHD box via Ethernet, great!
THANK YOU everyone, have a nice end of the week!

        Hi

Did they put back the horror that was on channel 2 on channel 5?

Is it possible to configure the ports to Ethernet only or Ethernet + TV?

You should be able to manage that in the box configuration.
