The SSID of my Wifi network has changed / connection impossible

Hello,

I have had a fiber connection via a very high-speed modem with SFR for a month.

I noticed one day that the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) changed: it was originally XXX-f71e and one day I noticed it became XXX-ad01.

Since then, my network key is no longer recognized (incorrect password) and I can no longer connect to my Wi-Fi.

Do you have any idea what happened? And how can I restore my connection?

    It doesn't change by itself.

    You need to go to your client account and modify the SSID and key again.

      What is surprising is that I haven’t made any changes to the SSID; is it possible that I’ve been hacked?

      I need to find an adapter to connect via Ethernet and access my client account... to try to change the SSID and password.

        Possible hacking, but surprising... at worst he would just have hacked the key to connect to your network.
        You can detect your box and not the neighbor's, right?
        (It’s possible that yours no longer has WiFi and you see another one)
        But look into changing it and you’ll see if that holds.

        Yes, that's my box, I checked by turning it off/on, and I can see the network appearing.

        My PC doesn't have an Ethernet port :)

    Is it indeed yours? (What model)

    If so, is there a WPS button on your box to connect without having to enter the security key?

      Yes, it's indeed the one for my box, I checked by turning it off/on, I can see this network appear.

      The model is FIBER MODEM I24.8 SAGCM MIXRC

      I tried with WPS and I still can't connect...

      Previously, I turned my box off and on several times. It doesn't change anything.

      I select the WIFI network, I click on "connect" and instead of entering the key, I press and hold the WPS button on my box for a few seconds.

      And nothing is happening...

      I will try to change the SSID and network key as soon as I can connect to my box via ethernet.

      And if it still doesn't work, I will follow your advice to do a factory reset of the box...

    As soon as possible (without delay) a USB Ethernet adapter can be found in stores, info electro.
    A Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) for maximum speed, and USB that you have on your PC (3 or C).
    (and it's not wasted, it's still useful sometimes to get maximum speed, for downloading or other purposes, and in case of a hiccup like here)

        Aren't you simply looking for the old name and trying the old key that no longer exists?
        A mix-up with paperwork and memories.
        Or
        Does your wife think you're chatting with a mistress and has cut off your internet access until you come back? :-)

        Call your wife to confirm the new name (and the old one that no longer exists) so you can enter the correct new key.

    Hello, check the packaging to see if there's a key written on it or even on the box.

    Thanks for these hypotheses... hahaha

    My wife is aware of the WiFi issue and she hasn't changed the SSID name (and thanks to my mobile data sharing I still have internet :)

    Good evening everyone,
    I was finally able to access my modem management space thanks to WPS (the secret code had also changed... inexplicably for me).

    Indeed, in the WiFi configuration menu, I noticed that the SSID and the password were not the original ones (I don't know why they changed...).

    I was able to modify the SSID and the password, and now it's working.

    Hello,

    I'm having exactly the same issue with an SFR box as well, my SSID has become xxxx-ad01 (it's thanks to this name that I ended up here) and all my passwords have mysteriously changed at the same time...

    Unfortunately, the WPS button neither allows me to connect to the Wi-Fi nor to access my modem options, the login takes me back to the first page.

    The factory reset still creates the Wi-Fi with the name xxxx-ad01 which is not what is written on the box...

    If someone has another idea...
