Halting Cutting in the Middle of Work SECABO PLOTTER

Hello,
I have already cut about fifty designs without any issues at 98%. And sometimes my SECABO plotter stops in the middle of the cutting process and there's no way to restart it where it stopped. The file is created and vectorized in Illustrator, and then I use Drawcut Lite to send it to the plotter. I checked the file, saved it as EPS, and nothing works.
One of my designs finally came out correctly after four attempts (stopping at different places each time), I reversed it for another window and now it doesn't work anymore.
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Thank you for your response.

I am at 277mm/s and force 186g and for now, it's working. I also checked everything (cables, rollers, motor block temperature) I also slowed down the speed, this is the 4th one in a row that comes out OK, but I find that the plotter makes a really unusual noise in the curves. I know it's weird in the curves but right now, it "squeaks a bit." Until the next breakdown, thanks again for your help.

Does it work with large cuts and not with small ones (in terms of work time)?

Hello.
Indeed, when I do the same pattern in a smaller size it works (30x40cm), in a large format it's 70x90cm. I have the option to split the pattern in two, which I did, and it works better but after a while it starts to stop again and not always at the same place. It even stopped once after drawing 1cm, thank you for your help and quick response. Chris

Is there no way to pick up where it left off or to get a report of the cut with the issues? The file is not complex but has quite a few curves. I have already turned everything off, reset the plotter and the computer. I'm wondering if the blade might be worn out (January 2019).

IMHO, it's more of a mechanical problem with the plotter than a software issue.

Possible causes:
A poorly connected or oxidized connector.
An electrical ribbon issue with a micro cut (this happens in cables that are continuously bent during the movement of the head).
A thermal problem, the motors have thermal protection for overheating and jams.
Related to the previous cause, a "hard" movement of the head that makes the system think there's a jam.

The problem with random failures is that you have to proceed by elimination, which requires equipment to swap out components one by one.
Check that the head moves normally when the plotter is turned off; if there is a hard spot, it could come from there.

A worn blade wouldn't cut anymore... or you might have too much pressure, but you would see the cut in the vinyl and the backing!!

Thank you very much for your valuable help. The head moves normally even when turned off, I checked the cables, normal pressure, I will test with a little more pressure, I'm searching, I'm searching...

A little LESS pressure...
The tip of the blade should barely mark the surface... you should hardly feel the trace of the cut when running your finger over the back of the surface.

Hello, I have the same problem with my Sécabo 120 plotter; it stops in the middle of the cutting process and there's also a strange noise. It's really the same issue as yours. I contacted the seller, but they are asking for the warranty, and unfortunately, I've exceeded the deadline. So far, there has been no solution!!!!

Hello,

The solution is very simple: check the ground at the socket ????

I have the same problem with my plotter; I changed the location and the problem was solved ????

Change the location to another building or another workshop, for example, or contact an electrician to check the ground ????

Good luck
