Hello everyone,
Thanks in advance to all those who will give me an answer.
I have a HP Probook 6450b laptop running Windows 10, the built-in microphone does not work
I installed the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC driver in different versions, the currently installed version is 6.10.6275.0 by default for Windows 7 not 10
but it is not stable, it can work only once among dozens of restarts
I tried the troubleshooter but it doesn't work
I also installed the Realtek driver but it doesn't work
could you please help me, I have one of the meetings and an online defense in a few days.
Have a good day everyone
Best regards
dhaim

Hello,
Windows + R
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.
Give the hardware ID of the device
Look at this --> Find the hardware ID of a device
Post the ID in your next message.
Is Windows 10 32-bit or 64-bit?

here is the device identification number: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_7603&SUBSYS_103C146D&REV_1002
windows 10 is 64-bit -
Download and install -> 7Zip 64 bit
Download this driver -> IDT
Right-click the driver -> sp51129.exe
Select -> 7Zip
Choose -> extract to "sp51129\"
Disconnect the network cable (ethernet) and wifi from the PC
Windows + R
Go to Audio, Video and Game Controllers
Right-click on -> IDT High Definition Audio CODEC
Uninstall
Check -> delete the device
Uninstall
Windows + R
Type -> control panel and OK
Programs and Features
Uninstall -> IDT High Definition Audio CODEC, if present
Restart the PC.
Go to Device Manager
Right-click the device
Update driver
Browse my computer for driver software
Choose from a list of drivers...
Have Disk
Browse
Go to the folder of the unzipped driver -> sp51129
Folder -> WDM
Folder -> Vista
Select the file -> STWRT64.INF and OK.
Restart.

I tried with this solution, but the same problem: the loudspeaker playback works but the built-in microphone array does not work.

no new
I tested all these solutions, but the problem persists -

Windows 10 is not up to date.
To upgrade it to version 2004:
Download this --> MediaCreationTool2004 <--
Run it
Check --> Upgrade this PC now

Hello
I’ve set it to version 2004
the microphone issue is still not resolved
I don’t know, maybe the problem is in the hardware -
Repair Windows 10. Look at this --> Réparer Windows 10 sans perte de données. If the repair yields nothing, perform a Windows reinstall. --> Comment installer Windows 10. The human being is at its best when things are at their worst.

Broken sound card?

no according to the HP Support Assistant diagnosis
there's no problem -
The repair did nothing, so did you perform a clean reinstall of Windows?

The repair and a reinstall didn't help, so probably a defective board.
See a repairman?
Good luck.
