Limited internet connection USB wifi key

Hello, I need your help with a Wi-Fi connection issue. I don't know much about computers and I've already spent some time on forums without finding the answer to my question. I'll try to be clear...

My initial problem is that I have an old PC running Windows 7 Professional. Regarding system information: Intel Core i5-2400 CPU 3.10GHz processor. 64-bit operating system. It doesn't have a Wi-Fi card and the ethernet network card no longer works. Not wanting to throw it away, I want to use it with Wi-Fi in another room of my home. I bought a USB Wi-Fi adapter, Darty i.t.works SKU 4502167 (WPA/WPA2 encryption, WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK; speed 2.4 and 5 GHz). I installed the drivers. The network is recognized, I connect to it, then immediately it says my computer has limited access.

In the device manager settings, I unchecked the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" with no result. My ISP is Orange (Livebox 4). I notice when I connect to the box from another computer (192.168.1.1) that the computer appears as connected and then disappears immediately when the error message (limited connection) appears. This makes me think it could work and that the problem is not hardware-related (but I could be mistaken).
I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.

My problems concerning what is proposed: the Livebox 4 (unless I'm mistaken) only encrypts in WPA2 so I'm not sure this applies to my problem (in any case, I didn't find how to change that). Since the adapter can work with WPA2 encryption, I thought that wasn't the problem either.
DHCP is enabled and I notice on the software that comes with the Wi-Fi adapter that there is no IP address for this connection (so for my computer if I understand correctly). I therefore went to the last step proposed and wanted to create a static IP address, but in the network card properties (Wi-Fi adapter), when I click on IPV4, I cannot enter the settings (only the "install" box is clickable).
So, I feel quite helpless. Is it hopeless or is there a way to connect this computer to the internet via a USB Wi-Fi adapter?
I added a few screenshots to illustrate (I have a small doubt that they were uploaded...). I hope I have been clear and thank you for your responses.

    netsh interface ip reset
    in the cmd window (windows+R and type cmd /c)

      Did you restart the PC afterwards?
      Did you try using the direct Wi-Fi from the box or not, because right now it's the one from the Devolo powerline adapter, right?
      For the PC,
      do you have an administrator account?
      Regarding the grayed-out properties button.

    yes, I tried on the box's direct wifi (which I can barely pick up in the room where I placed the PC).
    I am on the administrator account and, for example, if I go to Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6), there, I have access to the properties.

    Same: limited connection. Exactly the same thing happens as with the extension.
    I just tried again, it doesn't work but here's what the box "tells" me when I connect to its interface and the PC (PC-1) is connected for a few seconds. I'm also including the Windows message and what the "management" software of the wifi key displays, if it can help...

      I think you should remove the Wi-Fi/USB adapter management utility (we don't say "key" to refer to this equipment, as it can be confused with the WPA key (Wi-Fi network password for some) and let Windows functions manage it instead.

        I just reinstalled the drivers but it's the same result...
        Thank you for your time and advice, but I think I’m going to give up on my idea and return the wifi/usb adapter to the store

        If I understood correctly, it's your Ethernet card that is broken. You can use a gigabit/USB 3.0 adapter instead, or a simple Ethernet/USB 2.0 adapter if you don't have a USB 3.0 port.
