You can try the following steps:
1 - Reset the controller. (apparently at the back of the controller)
2 - Start the controller by holding home
3 - Hold home and B to get the name of the controller recognized and displayed on the screen
4 - With the controller still on, start pairing by pressing the name of the controller on the screen while holding home and B
The connection between the device and the controller should be established and displayed on the screen.
