My Epson Stylus SX105 printer is no longer recognized by my computer.

Hello everyone, I need your help because, as mentioned above, my printer, which is now quite old (6 years), is no longer recognized. A few days ago it was still recognized, but since I was getting only error messages and it wouldn't print anymore, I (perhaps mistakenly) deleted the printer from my devices, and now I can't add it back even with the installation CD.
I'm afraid that maybe my printer cable is broken or worse, my printer itself.
Thank you for helping me please, I don't know what to do anymore.

Configuration: Windows / Edge 18.18362

Hello,
Welcome to CCM,
What operating system is on the PC?
Best regards.

Is Windows up to date?
Only the scanner driver is available on the manufacturer's website!
However, you can try this (driver), epson376729eu.exe
First, unplug the printer from the PC and then restart it.
Install the driver and reconnect the printer when the installation procedure indicates to do so.

No, I have an update pending, and yes, I saw it. I think it's because it's very old.

However, I saw that there are drivers for SX100 printers. Can I install them?

You can try with the one above, it's possible that the printer is taken into account, the scanner driver will follow if this one installs first!

Hello,

So, we need to provide some clarifications...

1° Does this printer perform copies using only the printer's buttons..?

2° What is your version of Windows..?

3° What is the model of your PC..? and how is your printer connected to it..?

4° The installation CD may not be compatible with your version of Windows..? In which case, you need to download the correct drivers from the Epson website...

1) Yes, it executes the copies
2) Windows 10 64 bits
3) HP Pavilion TP01-0014nf main unit, and it is connected by a printer cable (I don’t know exactly what it’s called)
4) And I can't find a driver on the Epson website, there are only those for the scanner but I don't think they would be useful (https://www.epson.fr/support?productID=2778#product_search)

Hello.

Are you sure this printer is only 6 years old? There are tutorials that date back before 2010. For example, on CCM in February 2010 ==>

https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-16793595-probleme-imprimante-epson-sx105

The drivers stopped for Windows 8. Personally, for my Epson SX 415 from late 2011, I already had a hard time finding drivers (exe files) to make it work on Windows 10.

See you later . . .

I don't know, it's true that she might be older than that, but that's why I was wondering if I could use the drivers from the SX100 or SX115 since they are quite similar.

Re.

Why not give it a try! I had chosen the ones from the SX 410 series for the SX 415.

Talk to you later . . .

Hello everyone from the confinement of the Earth.

The latest proposals for this printer stop at Windows XP.
I think it's mainly because you've changed your version of Windows or your PC, and that's the real reason why this printer no longer works...

With Windows 10, there is no longer a driver..! In fact, there is one, but it comes through Windows Update... so you don't have control over it.

I found a variant that still worked under Windows 7... here is the driver link.
https://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3246/epson324609eu.exe

Here is another one ftp://download.epson-europe.com/pub/download/3246/epson324609eu.exe
which is the same, but downloaded differently, via FTP.

You can try this method which might work under Windows 10; it's worth a shot.

Hello, uninstall the program
Either with CCleaner or in settings
Turn off and restart your computer to save it
After two solutions, connect your printer cable on one side only
Either you use your installation disc, it will tell you to connect the cable at some point
Or through Google
You type driver for Epson, also connect the cable on one side only
