Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry if I didn't choose the right forum, but I had no idea where to ask my question..

So here it is, I recently found an external hard drive where I had stored some data, and I wanted to access it, but I had manually encrypted it on my OLD computer, and now I can't open it on my new PC.
It shows me: Error 0x80071771 The specified file could not be decrypted.

I right-clicked on properties and then clicked on "Advanced" and there you can see that I can't uncheck "Encrypt contents to secure data"

When I click on "Details," here is what it shows me

Here, "MSI-ALEX" is my old PC, and when I click on "Add" to presumably add a new PC with the rights to open this file, here's what it shows me

So that's where I am.. I hope I've been as clear as possible, and I hope someone will know how to help..

Thank you

Hello,
Without the decryption key, you will never be able to recover your files, see https://www.malekal.com/chiffrer-crypter-fichiers-dossiers-windows/.

Hello, I just retrieved the hard drive from my old PC, is there a way to find the decryption key in it?

No, the files have been encrypted, and can only be decrypted if you have the key. As I already told you, it is impossible to decrypt these files; that is, in fact, the purpose of encryption, which is to make files inaccessible to anyone other than the person who possesses the key.
