Hello,

I have a problem with Call Of Duty WARZONE, the game crashes after a few minutes of gameplay (returns to desktop) and sometimes, very rarely, the game works without issues...

I have tried several methods found on YouTube, but the problem persists!

I get error messages that pop up at launch saying:

OS version
your Operating system is not supported....
... Do you want to run Call of anyway.

When I click yes, nothing happens, and when I click no a new message appears:

the game could not start because your operating system is not compatible with direct x 12.

When I click ok, the game launches.

My computer is compatible with direct x 12 and all, but my sound drivers are up to date.

I tried launching the game in direct x 11, but nothing works!!

So if someone has any idea or has already found the solution... please share!

Hello,

This comes from a bug between the Battle.net application and the Call of Duty Modern Warfare game.

Symptom = After about 5 minutes of gameplay, a return to Windows without any error message

Try this, it is temporary while waiting for a fix or patch.

1 - Launch the game from the Battle.net launcher
2 - Once the game is launched, use the ALT+TAB key combination to return to the desktop
3 - Open the installation folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty Modern Warfare"
4 - Rename "ModernWarfare.exe" to "Modern-Warfare.exe"
5 - Return to the game by using ALT+TAB.

==> Before stopping the game, remember to rename the exe, that is to say from "Modern-Warfare.exe" to "ModernWarfare.exe", this will prevent duplicates in your folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Call of Duty Modern Warfare

Otherwise, Battle.net will re-download the file "ModernWarfare.exe" every time the game is closed!!

I have the same issue... It worked in the morning and since this afternoon I can't play it anymore  everything is up to date  I reinstalled the game etc...  it's a shame, I really like the game

Just because your Windows or graphics card are up to date doesn't mean there aren't issues with a Windows update or a GPU, audio driver.

For example: My headset was working fine, I go on Discord, chat with a friend and suddenly my mic doesn't work, and Windows has no sound in the headset. I tried everything, tutorials, etc. I uninstalled the audio driver and reinstalled it, and then everything worked. Sometimes it's weird.

Check that your Windows doesn't have any new updates.

Download the appropriate driver for your graphics card (Nvidia, AMD, Intel), uninstall your graphics driver using DDU, uninstall while restarting your PC, once your PC has restarted, install your driver as a new installation if possible.

Be careful if you use MSI Afterburner; it can crash PCs with Warzone. Close all applications that you don't need while playing and test to see if the graphics driver is causing issues.

I also tested that and it didn't work... And there have been updates made.

I noticed something else, I also play The Division 2 and I have the same issue, I play for a while and then it crashes...

All my drivers are up to date...

Apparently, it's Windows that's causing the problem, try going to the folder > Modern Warfare > Modernwarfare.exe > right-click > properties > compatibility > check the box run this program in compatibility mode for Windows 8 > apply > ok

Test to see what happens if the game crashes or not.

If it continues to crash, I think you might need to repair Windows, possibly due to missing or damaged files because of a virus or other issue.

Try this: next to the start menu type > cmd > right-click > run as administrator > this is the command prompt type > sfc /scannow hit enter

It will scan Windows to see if there are any missing or damaged files and attempt to repair them if possible.

Hello, same problem but my PC crashes. I had no issues before the last updates. The game runs perfectly at over 130 fps on full ultra, and even on ultra low the PC still crashes. Does anyone have a solution? I'm really at my wits' end here :(

by pure chance I think I found a solution, in any case it works very well for me
the problem comes from full screen, so just go to the graphics settings and choose "windowed"

maybe a lead, a friend came to me with a similar problem: game crashes and taskbar freezing after a few minutes.

after investigating in the event viewer, we saw an error message of the type "message queuing ..."

this indicated that he was running out of memory (16GB of RAM, though...) .... virtual memory.

Two options are available: let the system manage it or configure it manually.
