"Base" blinks on my Gigaset A170 H landline.

Hello,

My landline phone is displaying the word "Base" that is blinking. If I call my landline number from my mobile, I can hear the call beeps on my mobile but nothing happens on the landline. The ringer does not go off on the landline, I can leave a message on the landline's voicemail but I cannot listen to it on the landline.

    Same problem. Phone bought a week ago. It worked and now it shows the base. Unregistered the phone, re-paired it with the model a170... nothing works.

      @baladur13Yesssssss, I found it !!!!!

      So, I realized there was a major loose connection on the transformer plugged into the wall outlet..... It's a tiny transformer (without ground) and it wiggles in the outlets.... the base disconnected immediately after I plugged it in. Just like that..... a whole evening wasted reading posts, tutorials, the manual..... I hope this helps you.

      But it is certain that if the base loses its power supply, the associated handset(s) will lose the connection with it.

      This manual is not for the A170 H, I always have a base that clicks and no button on the base!
      So I went to menu / settings / handset / register handset, then I pressed the base button that makes the handset ring when you lose it for 3 seconds... it flashed and it worked... same thing with the other handset!

      Of course, the A170H is the reference for the handset that goes with an A170 base (without answering machine) or A 170A (with answering machine).

      You say: "no button on the base!" then: "I pressed the button on the base for 3 seconds"

      Strange, did the button magically appear?

      And you followed the procedure given in message #10...

      Everything is working again, that's the main thing.
