"Base" keeps blinking continuously on Siemens Gigaset AS 180 handset

Question

Hello  My Siemens AS 180 "Base" handset has been flashing nonstop for hours even though it is on the base. I have checked that both connectors on the base are plugged in. Before this "base" message appeared, the same device was displaying "new messages" that did not correspond to actual messages. How can this be fixed?  Thank you  gessi

I don't know right now, but if "base" displays correctly, we can assume that they are not completely out of order... Get closer to the base, but know that depending on the batteries you have, you can TEST using batteries of the same format WITHOUT PLACING THE PHONE ON ITS BASE TO AVOID CHARGING IT...  -- "He who wants to climb a mountain starts from the bottom!" Hello...  It seems that your mobile is disconnected from the base... go into the menu and look for "pairing" or "subscribe"... then you may need to press the paging button on the base, the button that is used to locate the mobile... Personally, I don't change my phones when the batteries are shot.....! They usually last several years, but it definitely depends on how you use them... make sure to get the same capacities (1200mA or 1500mA...), otherwise, they might not last as long during calls, or they might take longer to charge... Check if the contacts at the bottom of your mobile are not a bit oxidized, and the same for the ones at the base; if so, scratch them a bit with a nail file to get them nice and shiny.... First of all, thank you.  I checked the contacts. The "base" is stubbornly displayed. Perhaps worn-out batteries are causing this malfunction?  géssi

Re...  Sorry, but you might need to consider that either the base, the mobile, or something is really broken... Personally, if you have tried the "pair" or "subscribe" menu... and if it keeps happening the same way, I can't help you... wait for other opinions... good luck! Flashing base? Simply UNPLUG the electrical plug, then PLUG IT BACK IN. ....... is that stupid? No?  Joël
