Hello.

I want to clarify right away that I am not familiar with computers and I know very little about the jargon. Sorry if I'm not using the right terms.

I have an Acer Aspire 4830TG laptop, originally running Windows 7.

A few days ago, I finally upgraded to Windows 10, following the steps provided on a forum and using the installation software from the Microsoft website.

Since this upgrade, every time I start my computer, the following message appears:

"Dolby Home Theater - The current version of the Dolby audio driver is 7.2.8000.13, but the software application requires version 7.2.7000.4. Please install a compatible driver and software application."

I have tried to look on the Acer site, as well as Dolby and Windows, but I am completely lost.

What should I do to make Dolby Home Theater work like before and to make this error message disappear? Where should I download what and how do I install it?

Thank you for all your help.

    Good evening,

    Try installing this driver:
    https://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/Driver/Audio/Audio_Conexant_8.54.39.50_W8x64U_A.zip?acerid=634861463916329794&Step1=NOTEBOOK&Step2=ASPIRE&Step3=ASPIRE+4830TG&OS=8U1&LC=en&BC=ACER&SC=PA_6

    Restart and see what happens.

      Good evening,

Thank you very much for your quick response.

Could you please specify the name of the program that I need to install and in which subfolder it is located in the ZIP file you provided? Thank you.

Right-click on the downloaded zip and choose "Extract All"
This will create a new uncompressed folder (it may also open directly)
Open this uncompressed folder and double click on "setup" and the installation will start.

I followed your instructions. I restarted the computer afterwards.

Unfortunately, the problem persists, the error message reappeared at startup.
