Hello,
I would like to know what the difference is between a 2.1 home theater system and a 5.1 system.
I know the number of speakers as well as the subwoofer.
The Samsung system exists in both configurations.
Does 2.1 equal stereo (even though the technical sheet states that it decodes DTS and Dolby??)?
5.1 obviously decodes all of these sound formats.
Thanks to everyone

Hi
2.1 = Stereo Outputs (2.x)/Subwoofer (x.1)
5.1 = Front L + R + Center/Rear L + R (5.x)/Subwoofer (x.1)
It's not more complicated than that...
The Samsung 2.1 decodes 5.1 DTS but combines the 5 channels of 5.1 into 2 stereo channels...
