Hello
I received a JBL T500 BT Bluetooth headset. However, I've noticed a sort of background noise when I play music, whether it's on my phone or my computer. Even when the "power on" sound of my headset plays, there's background noise.
It becomes especially noticeable when the music is not very loud. I would like to know if this is normal with connected devices or if my headset is defective. Thank you for your help.

Hello,
It's called "hiss." It's quite common, but you can hear it more or less loudly. In truth, it's the quality of the connector (a 3.5mm jack in your case, I think) as well as the quality of the soldering that determines whether there is a lot of hiss or very little (inaudible). When the music is loud, the hiss is drowned out by everything else and the brain, being focused on the music or at least the audio, no longer pays attention to the hiss. Your headphones are entry-level, so it's entirely possible there is hiss, and there's really nothing you can do about it... Or you could get a higher-end pair of headphones.
Best regards,
Etienne
