How to get the latest version of ACER BIOS

Hello, I have an Acer laptop that I would like to update in terms of BIOS. While trying to boot from a USB stick and start under Ubuntu, I encountered quite a few problems (I'm discussing it in another forum and I'm still on the hunt for a solution, so if you have one, it would help me a lot!!) https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-36546642-windows-10-system-doesn-t-have-any-usb-boot-option#p36564601

After searching for a long time, I ended up on a forum that mentioned that some ACER BIOS versions are locked to boot only from Windows and that only updating the BIOS could solve the issue!

I went to the motherboard manufacturer's site (Acer) and downloaded the suggested update, and I upgraded from version V1.02 to V1.09 of the BIOS, but upon trying again, there was the same error message (system doesn't have any usb boot option...)

So I would like to know if it’s possible to download a newer version of the BIOS other than the one offered on the site, and whether this would be without risk? Given that if the update is not suitable, the laptop could be damaged, which is not really the goal ^^'

    Hello,
    The only BIOS you can download is the one provided by Acer; be careful not to mess up the BIOS, otherwise your PC might stop working altogether.
