Hello everyone,
here's my problem. I wanted to reset my HP computer so I could give it to my little brother, but when I restart it, it asks me to enter the username and password, and none of my old usernames and passwords work. So do you have any ideas on how to use it again?
Thank you :)

PS: I have a red key that says "recovery media" on it, I don't know if it can be useful.

    Hi,

If it's a Microsoft account (user with an email address), you can reset the password at the Windows startup or from another computer.
Otherwise, this can be done from this link: Reset a lost Microsoft account password for Windows 10.

    If it's a local account:
If you have access to an administrator account:
    • Windows key + R
    • type netplwiz and OK.
    • Select the user and then reset the password.

If you no longer have any other administrator accounts on the computer, it’s more complex; you need to reset the password using a Live CD.
    See these pages:

It is advisable to have two administrator accounts, to have one for troubleshooting in case of problems.

For HP recovery, try there: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/20792-restaurer-un-ordinateur-hp-a-son-etat-d-usine.
    It's F9 at startup.

Thank you for your response. You had to properly connect the red key and restart the computer with F9, then follow the instructions.
