Hello everyone,
Here's my problem. My HP laptop is really slow. In addition to being a few years old, it has a lot of programs on it. So, to clean it up, I decided to reset Windows 10 while keeping my personal files. The idea is to have a PC without software.
At first, everything goes well, the reset percentage reaches 100%, then comes the moment of reinstalling Windows 10 and that's when it glitches. Indeed, around 50%, the PC restarts or I don’t know what else, but in any case, the screen goes black. However, the backlight of the screen still works, the fans do too, and the peripherals are on (mouse, USB stick, ...). In short, everything except that nothing is displayed on the screen!
I waited a long time thinking it might be working since it’s slow. But it stays...
The first time, I held down the power button for a long time. Upon rebooting, it reverted to the previous version, and everything came back as if I hadn’t done anything (with all my programs).
And now I've tried again, and the same problem...
So, do you have a solution? Because I really want to clean it up as it's really too slow. But the reset doesn't seem to be working...
Thank you!!
PS: My PC has an i5 at 2.5GHz (with two cores I think) and 4GB of RAM, so I think it can handle Windows 10!? Unless there was a problem during the installation of Windows 10 because my PC can’t install one of the latest updates for Windows 10. It installs then rolls back saying there was a problem. Thank you!

Well, after several attempts, I see that it crashes right after installing features and drivers. It gets to 100% (that is, 75% of the total), it restarts, and then it goes to a black screen! In the meantime, it eventually restarts, tries to recover the installation, and then ends up reverting to the previous version.
Then at startup, it gives me a message:
"0xC1900101 - 0x40017
The installation failed in the SECOND_BOOT phase with an error during the BOOT operation"
Does anyone have an idea of the problem?
