How to know how we were added on Snap?

I would like to know if someone knows how it happens that I have new additions on Snap but it doesn't say how I was added (quick add, mention, etc.), it just shows the person's name and instead of how they added me, it shows their Snap ID. I don't think it's a bug because I receive additions where it does say how I was added. And when I ask people where they got my Snap from, they reply quick add, I respond that it's strange since it didn't show me that, and then the person changes the subject (this isn't the first time). And another question also regarding the additions, one day I received an addition on Snap via mention even though I wasn't mentioned in any story, and I only have Snap as my social network, so I'm not mentioned anywhere.
