Mail opens by itself and splits the screen in two Solved

Question

Hello,

I have a macOS Catalina (v. 10.15.2) that works well.

However, when I use a software in full screen, it occasionally and repeatedly happens that the Mail application opens by itself. The most problematic part is that the screen splits in two with (on the left) my software/application/other and (on the right) my Mail inboxes...
This is annoying and especially very frustrating, particularly when I'm watching a movie or when I'm working on different software...

Need help.

Hello,
This is one of the new features in Catalina: by clicking + option on the green maximize button of a window (in the upper left corner of the window), a contextual menu appears that allows you to switch the app to full screen or to split screen on the right or the left, to easily arrange two windows side by side.
However, I don't know how to disable this as I don't have Catalina, but try searching in system preferences for the term contextual or something like that: there should be some help available.

Hi! I have exactly the same problem... Under Catalina too, suddenly Mail opens on the right, all by itself...! It happened to me 3 times, but I can't remember if it was already there before the last OS update.

I have the same problem. I am now on the Catalina update and the problem persists, but it was already there on the previous updates. Does anyone know how to remove it?
