Error 2709

Hello,
I have two Windows 2000 software. The first one includes Word, Excel, Access, and FrontPage, and after entering the product key, the installation went smoothly; in fact, it works perfectly. I'm currently using Windows 10 on 64-bit.
For the second disk, which includes PUBLISHER among other things, the installation starts off well, but after entering the activation key, that's when the problem occurs.
An error box appears with the following message: Error 2709, which halts the process, and that's where my skills stop. If by a lucky chance someone has a solution, that would be great.

Oh, I almost forgot, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone!

    Good evening,

I think it's because it's 32-bit and Win 10 is 64-bit... admit that this marriage is a bit "hybrid"... Anyway, they have beautiful children.

You could try putting it in XP compatibility mode... let's see

There are also things to read:

You can also just stick with the office pack without installing Publisher... It all depends on the use.

      Hello Jeannets
I have read your message and the idea of going back to XP is quite surprising to me. Personally, I've never tried to put a 2CV engine in a Ferrari. Also, the link at the bottom of your message is unfortunately in English for me. I made another attempt with my installation CD, and I want to mention that I omitted in my message last night a note that appears after entering the activation key. About one minute later, a box appears with this:

Error 2709 information about offline junction creation not found.
If any other user has an idea on the subject, I am interested.

It is not at all a question of switching to XP in my message..

It is only a matter of using "Publisher" in XP compatible mode because it roughly corresponds to the era of your version.
You can do this by right-clicking on the file to install==>Properties===>Compatibility. and you check XP.
