Hello and thank you in advance for your response and your help.
- Recently, when I try to open certain applications or some video games on Windows 10, a window appears with the following message:
"To run this application, you must first install one of the following versions of .NET Framework: v4.0.30319
So I tried to install this version of the .NET Framework, but Windows indicates that it is already present on the device. However, it is currently disabled, so I tried to enable it via the Turn Windows features on or off option in the Control Panel; but the .NET Framework features (4.0; 3.5 or 2.0) are not present. Just the following similar features:
- .NET Extensibility 4.8
- ASP.NET 4.8
- .NET Environment
- .NET 3.5 Extensibility
Considering that this problem has never occurred before until today.
I checked in the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64 and the following files:
- v4.0.30319
- v3.5
- v3.0
- v2.0.50727
Despite the presence of the framework, I cannot enable it. What should I do?

Hello,
Check if your version of Windows 10 is up to date; to do this, go to this page, click on Update now, this will start the download of the Microsoft tool, just open it and it will allow you to update Windows 10 to the latest version and let you know if it is compatible with your PC. Please note that this update takes some time, if you have a laptop, plug it in, as it would be a shame to run out of battery before the update is complete.
