bose soundbar issue Solved

Question

Good evening

I can't connect my BOSE SOLO 5 soundbar to my SHARP television.
The soundbar works via Bluetooth with my phone, but I can't get the TV sound to play through the soundbar.
I've connected the soundbar to the audio output, but I don't have an optical output on the TV.

Hello,

This is what I did, I plugged the cable (which is orange) into the "coaxial out - Digital Audio" connection on the TV, and on the Bose into the "coaxial" terminal.
Then I went to "MENU" and followed everything you wrote without success.....
And yet the Bose works via Bluetooth with my mobile phone.
I can connect the Bose to the headphone output theoretically???? but you are telling me that the sound won't be very good??

What provides the image, just an antenna (or collective) or a decoder?
If decoder, what are the references (Brand and model)

OK,
Your television has a digital audio output (SPDIF) labeled Coax.Out Digital Audio. The Bose soundbar also has the same type of input labeled TV input Coaxial. These jacks generally have a yellow inner part. Your soundbar came with a coaxial cable with yellow jacks, which should be used to connect the two devices.

Excerpt from the manual on page 43 (45 of the PDF below)

●After connection
Setting the digital audio output
After connecting an amplifier with a digital audio RCA input, it is recommended to set a compatible audio output format with the program you are watching or the connected device.
Press MENU and go to Installation → Sound → Digital Output → and select PCM or Dolby Digital.
NOTE • When you set this option to Dolby Digital and receive Dolby Digital or Dolby Digital Plus audio format, Dolby Digital sound is output. Otherwise, PCM sound is output. When you set this option to PCM, PCM sound is output regardless of the audio format received

Note that the television also has a headphone output that can be connected to the "AUX" input of the soundbar via a 3.5mm Jack/Jack cable, but the sound quality will be inferior.

On the TV, are you in PCM or Dolby? Have you tried both modes?
On the soundbar, have you selected the TV as the source and the correct TV input? (coaxial)
