Search for ELAN smartpad driver for Windows 10

Hello, Following a mistake on my part (mouse driver installation), the touchpad is no longer working normally. In fact, it operates like a mouse but I have lost the useful functions: scrolling, multi-finger gestures, etc. I do have the Elantech folder (programs on C:) and a program (x86) Elan Touchpad 5.8.8.2_X64_WHQL that I cannot execute (only uninstall).  I couldn't find a driver on the ELAN site: emc.com. On driver sites, they require downloading unnecessary software!  My mouse only works on one USB port. It's chaos in the device manager. Good evening muna2a,  What is the model of your PC? What version of Windows are you using? Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit?  HELP : 32 or 64 bits - How to find out?  Please include a screenshot of your device manager in your next message. If you have any issues with devices showing a yellow triangle and a /!\ or unknown devices.  Give me the identification number of these devices.  HELP : Finding a device's identification number  Try to see if you can do a restore to an earlier date as this may fix your problem. Good evening ChariduP  Toshiba satellite S50-B-13M running Windows 10 64 bits. For identification, my manager displays 2 mice (driver error on my part). I can no longer see my touchpad, which works as a mouse + mine. It's an ELAN Smart pad from Microelectronics Corp emc.com (Elan input device).  I have the elantech folder in Programs and an Elan Touchpad 15.8.8.2 X64 WHQL program in programs and features. But I haven't found any installation program and no exec for the program above. I sent an email to emc.com but I doubt they will reply. Can I uninstall the mice? But what next? I do have a backup via AOMEI but what should I restore? Kind regards. CM   -- Thank you - Muna2a

Hello Kaneagle  I have successfully regained the use of my Elan smartpad and I thank you for that.  However, it is not the version I had, which I did not note down.  Can I find the version in my backup (AOMEI) by looking in the elantech folder in programs? And can I find it on Toshiba? It's not important. Due to an error on my part  Perform a system restore and choose a date prior to the problem.  Windows + R Type --> rstrui.exe and OK.   -- Human beings are at their best when things are at their worst.

Hello  Before proceeding with the operation, I would need some information.  I made a system backup with AOMEI Backupper on 11/18, that is, before my issues.  This backup is on an HD in image format. I will connect the disk and then? Should I use the rstrui command which is Windows or the AOMEI system restore procedure? What should I do? Will my files be affected?  Best regards.
