Relieve Windows at Startup Solved

Question

Hello,  I would like to relieve and speed up my PC at startup, and for that, I have CCleaner, but I don't know what all the software in the list corresponds to, so I would like your help to know what I can disable or not without damaging anything. Start menu -> run  And type msconfig   then in the startup tab, uncheck everything, and restart your PC. Don't worry about your antivirus, it will still launch.  -- My blog:

Thanks for your help tanteelise and nels69  I have left what concerns Comodo and Antivir and disabled everything else. For your information, the result isn't astounding in terms of time gain during PC startup.  I should mention that I had to reactivate this because it was messing up the touchpad of my laptop: Yes HKLM:Run ETDWare ELAN Microelectronic Corp. C:\Program Files\Elantech\ETDCtrl.exe  Thanks to both of you, even if the time gain at PC startup isn't great, it still prevents unnecessary things from launching.  Wishing you all the best.

Right-click on C drive Properties Tools Disk check Check both boxes and it will tell you to schedule at the next startup. You accept and restart The check will start, and you let it finish. If you want to improve your PC's performance, there are plenty of other things to do, like disabling unnecessary services, removing unnecessary effects, etc. As @tanteelise said, you can also run a check to see if you're infected, but rather with Malwarebytes:  https://fr.malwarebytes.com/  ADWcleaner is not a software that will help you find potential infections; it will just remove unwanted software (unwanted doesn't mean it's malware and dangerous for your PC; some people use those toolbars and software every day). So unless your homepage isn't the same anymore and you have programs that you never installed of your own accord, it won't be very useful.  Otherwise, you can easily remove Comodo, as Windows has its own Firewall and your router should also have one. I don't know much about Avira, but I think it also has a feature like that. You'll save a lot of resources.  Otherwise, @tanteelise, are you helping people by providing false information and not wanting to admit it? This kind of behavior surprises me. Cybersecurity is not something to be improvised, and you should test or learn a little about the subject before wanting to help others.  Well, I say that but I say nothing...

Defraggler is software that I already had and which was actually recommended to me here (CCM) after a cleanup.  I don't see any difference between before and after defragmentation, but since I've been doing everything you asked me to, I've noticed an improvement, a slightly faster and more stable PC.
