Hello,
I upgraded from W7 to W10, but I must have made a mistake somewhere, I no longer have the icons for my Orange email or Facebook since this morning, I've been struggling and can't figure it out. I can open both through indirect means. How do I create shortcuts for them on the desktop?
Please explain it to me in simple language and not in tech terms, I won't understand, at my age, my brain is a bit slow.

Hello,
Personally, I proceed like this: I bookmark the website in question (for Firefox) (or in Favorites for IE), then once the site is in the bookmarks, all you have to do is right-click on the site link in the bookmarks and click "Copy" (without closing the browser). Then you need to minimize the browser in the taskbar, and then all you have to do is right-click on the Desktop and select "Paste." After that, you can close the browser...

Hello.

Another solution but the one from MPMP is perfectly valid :-)

Open Orange internet messaging and copy the website address (blue)

Reduce the internet window, then in the middle of the screen right-click >>> new >>> shortcut

Right-click paste the Orange address. Then click next and enter Orange.

There you go, the shortcut is created. All that's left is to right-click on this shortcut then on "properties" and from there on "change icon". Which gives the image >>>
