Communication with scan impossible Epson WF-2750 Solved

Question

Hello,  I installed my Epson WF-2750 a few months ago and everything was fine for scanning.  Today I tried to scan and I got the following message: "Communication with scanner impossible - Please check that the scanner is powered on, configured correctly, and that there are no connection errors."  I would like to point out that the printer is working perfectly well (connected directly via USB cable and not via wifi).  I completely uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, and I still have the same problem.  I also note that the scanner does not appear in the image acquisition devices.  This is the first time I have encountered this problem and I don't know what to do.  Thank you in advance for your help.  Best regards.

The problem is widening.  I have the same problem on my wife's PC, which has an Epson WF-2650.  The same window with the same message appears, except that there are 2 scanners listed in the image acquisition devices: "Epson WF 2650/2660 series" and "Epson 7494A6 (WF-2650 series)" - Both devices are considered "operating correctly."  It's surprising that this problem has arisen at the same time even though we scan regularly.

Finally, I "found" the 2750 scanner on my PC in the image acquisition devices, and it is considered to be "functioning normally" and has the best driver.  So both PCs are in the same situation.  What intrigues me is that the same problem is happening at the same time on 2 PCs with 2 almost identical printers: is this problem due to an automatic update?  Thank you for your help. After contacting Epson's customer service, it turned out to be a Windows update that caused the scanning issue.  It was necessary to uninstall and reinstall according to specific Epson links, and the problem has been resolved on both machines.  Thanks again for your help, dany311 and bazfile.  Best regards
