Hello, Thank you for your quick response: I thought about it, it's indeed one solution, but since I kept my old PC (Windows 7), I connected the EOS via USB cord and it was recognized. I was able to transfer my photos. Surprising, isn't it? The EOS Utility software provided by CANON apparently only serves to connect via Wi-Fi (and even then, I couldn't manage it). The moral is, technological progress only serves to complicate users' tasks because my previous EOS450D (unfortunately lost) connected without any problem with the CDs provided at purchase.
I continue to search for a solution to make this device recognized by my PC. Hell and damnation!!!!
