Problem with WhatsApp

Hello, I just switched from iPhone to Samsung and I'm having a problem with the WhatsApp application.
Before, on the iPhone, the photos I received would automatically save to my gallery, but on the Samsung (S10e), the photos I receive aren't saving anywhere even though the "auto-download" function is activated!
So I tried to save them one by one by clicking on them and in the options, but there’s no way; no "save" or "download" option appears. So the photos are stuck on WhatsApp and I can't do anything..
If someone could help me that would be great!

    Hello,

On my smartphone, photos are automatically saved in:
WhatsApp > Media > WhatsApp Images

    Check the WhatsApp settings:
On the home screen (contacts list) click on the 3 dots in the top right corner:
Settings > Data and storage usage

In the Media auto-download section, make sure that Photos is checked under Using mobile data and also under Using Wi-Fi.

    Best regards

Hi, the problem is that everything is checked in "automatic media download." So your photos don't appear in your phone's gallery either?

Yes, they are indeed in the Gallery.
(The Gallery is not a storage place; it’s just a visualization and editing app)
Have you checked that the photos are indeed in the directory I indicated? (Use the My Files app provided by Samsung and available on the smartphone.)

      Another check to do:
Go to the Settings of the smartphone, then Apps.
In the list, click on Gallery
Then click on Permissions and check that Storage is checked.

It's checked as well.. I really don't understand why it's not working.

Check that the photos are saved in: WhatsApp > Media > WhatsApp Images.
(The file explorer My Files can be found in Samsung Tools.)

If that's not the case, go back to Settings > Applications and check WhatsApp's permissions. Normally, everything should be checked.

I don't know where to go to see Samsung's tools, but in any case, everything is checked in WhatsApp's permissions.
