Hello, I just switched from iPhone to Samsung and I'm having a problem with the WhatsApp application.
Before, on the iPhone, the photos I received would automatically save to my gallery, but on the Samsung (S10e), the photos I receive aren't saving anywhere even though the "auto-download" function is activated!
So I tried to save them one by one by clicking on them and in the options, but there’s no way; no "save" or "download" option appears. So the photos are stuck on WhatsApp and I can't do anything..
If someone could help me that would be great!

Hello,
On my smartphone, photos are automatically saved in:
WhatsApp > Media > WhatsApp Images
Check the WhatsApp settings:
On the home screen (contacts list) click on the 3 dots in the top right corner:
Settings > Data and storage usage
In the Media auto-download section, make sure that Photos is checked under Using mobile data and also under Using Wi-Fi.
Best regards-

Yes, they are indeed in the Gallery.
(The Gallery is not a storage place; it’s just a visualization and editing app)
Have you checked that the photos are indeed in the directory I indicated? (Use the My Files app provided by Samsung and available on the smartphone.)
Another check to do:
Go to the Settings of the smartphone, then Apps.
In the list, click on Gallery
Then click on Permissions and check that Storage is checked. -
