Hello,
I have several free email accounts accessible with Thunderbird. Overnight, all messages containing an attachment appear and then almost instantly disappear when I check my mail. Only one of my accounts is affected. However, when someone forwards me the same email with the same attached file, I can download it without it disappearing. In Zimbra, all messages exist and are retained.
No settings have been changed in Thunderbird. Could it be a virus? Has my email account been hacked?

Hello,
This is neither a virus nor a hacking issue but probably a setting or filter in place in Thunderbird.
Does the disappearing message end up in the "Junk" folder or elsewhere?
Since Thunderbird learns and remembers such decisions and applies them to subsequent messages from the same source, this behavior could be explained if the sender has been marked as junk at some point.
To reset Thunderbird's "memory," go to Tools / Options / Security / "Junk" tab / Reset learning data.

I finally found the lost emails and reset the learning filter. Everything is back to normal. Thank you for the help.
