Disappearing attachments in Thunderbird

Hello,

I have received several messages with attachments, but they are 'swallowed' by Thunderbird. However, when I go to my Gmail, I can access them there. I assume it is a setting in the new version of Thunderbird, which one?

Thank you for your help,

Charlotte

Hello, Thank you for your response, but it doesn't solve the problem: - first, I can't find the "Repair folder" command when I right-click (but I will keep looking...), - secondly, the problem only occurs with one of my contacts, with whom I've been exchanging for a long time without any issues, but who has just switched to Windows 365: I was wondering if I was the only one experiencing this problem? Thank you again for your help, Charlotte

What is the name of the p-j, winmail.dat?

No, curiously, the winmail.dat is the only attachment that remains in the Windows 365 message when it arrives in Thunderbird. However, there was an Excel file and a Word file in the original message, both of which disappeared under Thunderbird, but if I log in to Gmail directly, they appear in that message. I tried to run tests between my various email addresses, but I wasn't able to reproduce the problem. I really feel like the issue lies with the Windows 365 and Thunderbird combination... It's very curious! I would be very grateful if you find the solution, Charlotte

On the other hand, there was an Excel file and a Word file in the initial message, both have disappeared under Thunderbird, but if I log in to Gmail directly, they appear in this message. try the repair again cf post 1

I found the repair, but now I need to ask my correspondent to send me a message with an attachment to see if it works. But she is already on the weekend, and I'm leaving for vacation on Monday, so we will have to wait a few days for the next episode. I'll tell you more when I return, regardless of the outcome, thanks again for the help and see you soon, Charlotte
