Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to create a table of contents with a drop-down menu for each main title in Word?
As my table of contents is quite extensive, I would like it to fit on one page, showing only the main titles, and with a drop-down menu to view and choose the subtitles (while keeping the Ctrl+Click for direct navigation to the pages for the main titles and subtitles).
I hope I am clear ^^
Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows / Internet Explorer 11.0

Hello,
The navigation pane display is made for that...
View tab => Show group => Navigation Pane.

Yes, but it's not enough to say "I want"! You're trying to do CSS in a Word document. This functionality doesn't exist. If we insist on it, we will have to program, and even then it can only be done with comboboxes, as I explain here for PowerPoint

I have been helping users with Office since 2001, so that's tens of thousands of responses. I created a website that answers most questions about Word and PowerPoint, which has been operating for free since 2004.
So, it would be better to keep such thoughts to yourself and avoid making unfounded assumptions that only involve you.
Perhaps you don't appreciate an answer that tells the truth. Personally, when someone says "I want", I don't particularly like it either. It's the theory of "I want to press the button and have it done automatically" and therefore "you just need to create that button for me"!
One last thing: this is a help forum. Personally, I don't need assistance with office software; you do.
