Driver installation: Access denied

Solved

Hello,

I have an Asus without an OS, so I had to install all my drivers myself.
So I went to the manufacturer's website https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-Laptop-X570ZD/HelpDesk_Download/ to look for my drivers.

However, when I download, extract, and start the installation, I get an "access denied" and "no data available" in my command prompt.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Here is what it looks like: http://zupimages.net/viewer.php?id=19%2F14%2Fo5n1.png

Thank you!

      It's basically the same link as mine.
      How is it different?

      Thank you

        Indeed, I didn't "launch" the search from your link, but let's say it's the same!
        In my opinion, I've rarely seen, if at all, anyone try to install drivers on a PC without having installed an operating system first!
        I don't know if you'll succeed, but upon reflection, I don't think I can help you in this regard, sorry.
        Best regards.

      No, I currently have Windows installed.

      I received the PC without an operating system, that's why I'm saying I might have messed something up.

        I find it surprising that you have a window like the one you mention in your initial question to specify what it looks like.
        In my opinion, if Windows is properly installed, you shouldn't have this kind of screen!!!
        See you later

    Hello,

    Press Windows + R
    Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.

    If you have device alerts
    Provide the hardware IDs
    Look at this --> Find a device's hardware ID
    Post the IDs in your next message.

    Is Windows 10 32 or 64 bits?

    Is Windows up to date?

    If not, download this -->> MediaCreationTool1809 <<--
    Run it
    Check --> Upgrade this PC now

      Yes, Windows is up to date; I installed it and did all the updates a week ago.

    Are you on an administrator session?

    Do you have this problem with all downloads, not just drivers?

    For admin command prompt:
    Windows key + X
    Select --> Windows PowerShell (admin)

    Why install drivers in command prompt ????

      Well, I'm downloading the drivers from the manufacturer's website and when I click on setup or install, it opens the command prompt without me asking for anything in fact.

      When you launch the setup to install a program or software, does the cmd open as well?

      Not at all, only on the drivers from the site.

      Setup/install the logo is a white file with a gear on top.
      (In case it helps)

    I checked some drivers and there is no setup.exe
    So, you have to install them all manually.

    Example for ethernet:
    Download and install --> 7Zip 64 bits

    Download this driver --> Realtek

    Right-click on --> LAN_Realtek_Win10_64.....zip
    Select --> 7Zip
    Choose --> extract to "LAN_Realtek_Win10_64......\"

    Device Manager
    Right-click on the corresponding device, which is the ethernet controller
    Update driver
    Browse my computer ......
    Browse
    Select the unzipped driver folder --> LAN_Realtek_Win10_64.........
    OK, next
    Restart.

      Alright, thanks, but what device does the chipset driver correspond to?

    Bus Controller SM, Video, HDMI audio, AMD PSP device (Security Accelerator), ACPI, I2c, USB, etc...

    If everything is correct, mark the subject as resolved.

    Have a nice day.
