Reliable last login time?

Hello,
I would like to know if the last seen time next to a WhatsApp contact is always reliable?
Indeed, I am being told that the person hasn't been on it.

Hello,

You just know that the person was using their smartphone ;-)

If the person doesn't completely close the app (only minimizing the window), it shows "online."
Thank you for keeping me posted => "It’s resolved thanks to / I found that I needed to" or "Still stuck"
because I often have several steps and always have a trick up my sleeve!!!

It applies to all applications (dating sites, messenger, online games, etc.).

Yes, because you do not close the Facebook/Messenger app window (usually).
