Hello,

I'm posting my question here for the first time because I couldn't find any other case like mine. I assembled my PC yesterday, and everything went well, but the only problem is that I have no sound coming from the speakers of my monitor (Zowie XL LCD (Nvidia High Definition Audio)) and also no sound from my Realtek Digital Output (Realtek(R) Audio). I really can't understand why or where this problem is coming from. I've scoured all the forums hoping to find answers to my issue but haven't found anything recent or relevant. I should mention that when I plug in my headphones, everything works fine. All my drivers are up to date, and everything is properly connected. Does anyone have an idea? My monitor is a Benq Zowie XL2546. Thank you in advance for the help you can provide, as I don't know what to do to resolve this issue and I'm convinced that the mistake is mine and I've definitely forgotten to set something up.

    Hello
this monitor does not have built-in speakers
just an audio output for headphones (jack), otherwise to get sound, you need a jack<->jack cable between the PC and external speakers, or HDMI between the screen and the PC.

Is it not true? Am I that stupid? Thank you so much for your answer, Nadellen. I didn't look closely at the specs of my monitor, and it’s much clearer now. I thought the mistake was mine.

    Hello

( I specify that when I put on my headphones everything is fine )
Do you mean when you plug the headphones into the monitor?
Because the monitor you bought does have an audio output for headphones
BUT does not have built-in speakers
so it's normal that you don't have sound.

Thank you very much for your reply jfmimi, no my headset is plugged directly into my PC, I didn't check my monitor's specs well enough before posting my problem, that will teach me to be more careful. It reassures me a lot to know that it's normal if I don't have sound and that the error is indeed on my part.
