Hello,
When I try to install my file, I’m asked where it should be installed, so I click on "Browse" and choose where it should be installed. However, when I click "Next," an error occurs and displays: "The folder name must not contain any of the following characters: / : * ? < > l
Yet I am only offered folders with these characters during the installation...
Thank you in advance for your help
Best regards, Apple

I'm sorry for the very late response, but I had this problem not long ago, and since it doesn't seem to be resolved, I'm posting what seems to be the answer to this issue.
In fact, the problem came from the name of the software to install.
For my part, it was "Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2". When it tells you that the folder name must not contain these elements, it's the name of the file itself, so if this happens to you, remove those characters from the name of the file to be installed in the "Browse" bar, and there you go.
Ex: C:\Program Files\Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2
Hoping this helps you. -
Yes, it's simply Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2; there's a ":" after duty... you have to keep an eye out :D
Simple problem and solved -
All these characters are prohibited in file names; they serve the system, whichever it may be.

Hi, lol it doesn't work for me, I renamed everything even what's in the iso files and even created another folder, so if you could help me via MSN that would be better.
Thanks.

Hello, just enter the name of your file instead of C:\Program Files\Call of Duty: Modern Warfare2; Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2! Hoping I could help! ;)
PS: It worked for me like that! -
Hi,
I just encountered the same issue,
the answer is actually very clear
write your folder name as follows
call of duty modern warfare 2
and the problem is solved

I'm sorry, it's not resolved yet. I did what you said but it's not working =/
Thank you in advance :D
