My iPad is draining quickly even when not in use.

Configuration: iPad / Safari 12.0

    Hello,

    If your iPad is quickly draining its battery when not in use, you can improve its battery life by following these steps:
    • Close open applications
    • Reduce brightness
    • Disable Bluetooth
    • Disable WiFi
    • Disable AirDrop (Settings > General > AirDrop > Receiving Off)
    • Disable location services (Settings > Privacy > Location Services)
    • Disable unnecessary notifications (Settings > Notifications)
    • Disable background app refresh (Settings > General > Background App Refresh)

      Why on earth isn't the recommended configuration set "by default"
      when quite a few of these functions are superfluous?
