Hello, I want to share my sad experience with the Shiply site.

Looking for a carrier to deliver a car to Dijon from Strasbourg, I came across the Shiply site which allows me to get quotes.
At the beginning of December, I accepted the quote from MTL75 for 270 euros, including a 30 euro immediate deposit for the site. I am not very reassured, as I find no information online about this carrier, but the site rates it as verified and with 80% positive experiences over several years.

The carrier kept me waiting for over a month with various more or less credible excuses...
Then I learn that an appointment was made in Strasbourg without me being notified, and of course, no one showed up to pick up the car.

Worse still, on the Shiply site, the delivery was validated and I was asked to pay 240 euros, and my account was also used to leave the carrier a positive review.

I suspect a large-scale scam, I contacted customer service without much hope and I plan to file a complaint for identity theft.

SHIPLY has been absolutely avoided, there are other transport sites that are much more reliable and can be contacted by phone if needed,

Hello. I would like to confirm that the Shiply site really has about 50% of fake transporters.
I am myself a car transporter and I have used this site a few times to fill my truck.
I am appalled by what I see there.
Advice:
Only choose people with 100% positive feedback.
Read the reviews carefully. When a transporter claims to have had a fake client who is actually a competitor, that's false. Like the one who claims not to have done the job when he has a review.
Ask technical questions to ensure you know who you're dealing with.
A large number of vehicles transported in a short time proves that the transporter has no own clientele, which means he is not very reliable. (To check this, look at his registration date and the number of transports. More than 30 per year is suspicious)
Shiply claims to have an address in France; I sent them a registered letter which was returned to me with the mention "does not live at the indicated address".
Prefer another site: uship.com which is a bit less frequented by scammers.

Hello, I am adding to the long list of people who are being scammed by Shiply. After confirming the quote and paying more than €50 as a deposit, the transporter never got back to us.
Three emails and phone calls went unanswered. To this day, we are still waiting for a response from Shiply, which was supposed to occur within 48 hours after our complaint. Never again.
Our company turned to a professional transporter.
€280 instead of the €632 demanded by the Shiply transporter.

For your information, Fredo's post for Logicars is an advertisement for a ghost site created on the same model as Shiply.
Our dear Ludo, before trying to set up a shoddy version of Shiply, was a major player at Shiply with misleading pricing methods.
To those who fell for: MLT75 or STHV59, know that it was the same person and he is back under the pseudonym ITRANS638. Same pricing methods all over the place, the same offers consistently lower than competitors without realism, and especially the same reactions to negative reviews. Not to mention fake reviews from Shiply. Indeed, for some time now, every new registrant has been awarded 2 fake reviews. The proof is that they are dated the day the transporter registered and do not mention the nature of the goods transported. (For your information, it takes at least 3/4 days before performing a transport after registration.)

Hello, I also placed an order through the carrier MTL75 on the site shiply.com. The carrier is not responding to any emails, nor to the phone (directly to voicemail, with no greeting message). It smells like a scam!

Indeed, I eventually got refunded, but Shiply keeps the carrier active despite numerous complaints. I am shocked that this company continues to operate under these conditions. :(

If you have the contact information for this carrier, you can pass it on to me. I have been a carrier for over 40 years, so I know the ins and outs of the DREAL, which can put such people out of business through their files (license revocation and fines).
We must be realistic and acknowledge that, since checks on the road are not sufficient, these people will always be able to work illegally, which is already the case for many of them.

It's very kind of you, but the carrier never wanted to give me their contact details and the name of the company seems to correspond to a bankrupt SIRET. I don't think it's a dishonest carrier, but a ghost carrier, made up by Shiply. (MTL75)

It does exist. Shiply doesn't need to invent transporters because there are plenty of people improvising as transporters. For 5000 euros, you can buy a trailer and in ten minutes you can proclaim yourself a specialist in high-end or collectible vehicles on Shiply.
Since I've been around (1979), I've never seen as many as since the internet has existed. (Several hundred) As they set prices unrelated to their costs, they don't last long. Moreover, the transporters from the East have arrived. If all goes well, great, but at the slightest problem, troubles arise.
I have anecdotes from clients about this.
Last point. Transport is a regulated activity and is incompatible with the status of an auto-entrepreneur. So, auto-entrepreneur = fake transporter.

Hello, to respond to your remarks and with full knowledge of the facts, I inform you that SHIPLY FRANCE in Paris are ***. This is the first thing you can verify. Second, know dear client and requester of a transporter or in search of one, that SHIPLY allows time for the transporter or the client (sender) to accept the quote in order to take the deposit of 9.9% in addition to the fee requested by the transporter. Third, once this is done, recovering your deposit, Shiply suspends the transporter on its own, WITHOUT REAL AND SERIOUS REASON.
This means that the transporter does not receive the accepted quote by the sender in any case, and likewise he no longer has access to his Shiply account to carry out his profession and fulfill his tasks.
I inform you of this because I am an independent transporter working alone, and to this day I am suspended, just like other colleagues, and in legal proceedings against Shiply.
Furthermore, to this day I am facing a loss of revenue of €4000/month, due to the actions of SHIPLY FRANCE in PARIS.
Of course, as stated in their T&C, they reserve the right to respond to you or not (SHIPLY), thus you cannot have a contact person. Here is the description of a marketplace based in the United Kingdom, which moreover *** private individuals, and contributes to the bankruptcy of small transporters like me.

There you go dear friends, this is what Shiply is and what they do, so in conclusion, you clients and we transporters are left in the same situation, so please do not systematically incriminate the transporter.

MTL75 is one of many carriers, I believe all are fictitious and dishonest; just look at the different reviews of quotes (knowing that positive reviews are added directly by Shiply...), they treat unhappy customers as liars, sometimes with the same words.

Run away...

I completely agree. I have dealt several times with very professional carriers. You just need to read the evaluations of previous clients and be careful of so-called carriers who provide standard quotes and then lower their rate as other carriers offer lower quotes, until they are 50% lower than initially. BEWARE OF QUOTES THAT ARE TOO LOW, OF THOSE WITH WHOM COMMUNICATION IS DIFFICULT, AND OF THOSE WHOSE EVALUATIONS ARE BELOW 95-100%. AND ABOVE ALL, NEVER DEAL DIRECTLY.

Hello, I was a victim of a dodgy courier and I paid 15 euros for nothing, I sent 30 emails to Shipply with no response!!! But back then they accepted Paypal!!!!! And what a delight, I messaged Paypal and two days later the 15 euros were back in my account with a little note from Shipply!!!!
The problem is they no longer accept Paypal.

Terrible experience!!!! After paying the deposit and accepting the quote, the carrier kept my grandmother on a boat for over a month and still nothing! Moreover, it's impossible to get back my deposit. The customer service is even worse than the transport!!! 8 emails *(BECAUSE NO PHONE), always the same answer WITHOUT ANSWERING MY QUESTION: HOW WAS MY REFUND MADE?

Same, no customer service, a real scam, no response to emails, no refunds, I think that the responses from the delivery people are made by their own teams because they receive a deposit and tell us they can do the service in 1 or 2 months, which discourages the consumer and ultimately there is no possibility to cancel or get a refund! Online scam, this site needs to be shut down as it deceives people.
